    Home remedies to increase eyesight

    Eyes are one of the most important parts of our body. We face a lot of problem when there is a slight decrease in the light of the eyes.
    Reduction of eyesight is also associated with myopia (distant blurring) and hyperopia (blurred vision). Some specific factors like genetics, lack of nutrition, aging and excessive strain on the eyes cause this problem.

    The most common symptoms of reduced eyesight are blurry vision, frequent headache and watery eyes.

    To find out the main reason for this, first check with your doctor. Sometimes this problem can also be caused by some serious issues like cataract, weakening or damage of the eye muscles or suffering from optic neuropathy.

    In general, doctors can treat low eyesight. But still you can increase your eyesight by adopting some home remedies.

    Here are the 10 most effective home remedies to increase eye light -

    1. Do Eye Exercise

    By doing eye exercise, the muscles of the eyes are flexible, there is increased blood pressure and vision is corrected. Regularizing it also reduces eye strain and increases concentration.

    Exercise – 1

    Hold a pencil vertically perpendicular to the eye. The pencil should be exactly between the eyes in front of the name. Keep your attention at the point of the pencil.

    Now slowly bring this pencil near your eyes and then take it away.

    Do this 10 times daily.

    Exercise – 2

    Turn your eye pupils in clockwise direction. Do this for a few seconds.

    Now turn them in anti-clockwise direction.

    Repeat this 4 to 5 times.

    Blink your eyes in between each round.

    Exercise – 3

    Blink your eyelids continuously 20 to 30 times without stopping.

    Now close your eyes and rest them.

    Do this 2 times a day.

    Exercise – 4

    Concentrate on something kept two to three meters away from you. Initially do this for 5 minutes and gradually increase the time.

    Do not blink your eyes at all while meditating.

    Do this exercise daily for a few months.

    2. Sunning और Palming

    Sunning and palming are also very beneficial for the light of the eyes as it makes the eye lens and ciliary muscles flexible and strong.

    There is a natural healing power in the sun, which we can absorb through sunning. Palming brings relaxation in our body and activates our senses.

    Sunning - In the morning, when the sun is in the east, then sit in front of it and close your eyes. During this, keep deep breathing and keep your attention on the sunlight crossing the eyelids. Do this again for a few minutes palming again.

    Palming - Rub the palms of both your hands together and then place them gently on both of your closed eyes. Feel the heat in your eyes by rubbing the palms. During this, keep in mind that your eyes should be completely covered with your palms and no light should go in them. You do it every day just after sunning. You can also do it in the middle of the day during work.

    3. Acupressure/Acupuncture

    Our eyes are surrounded by a combination of some bones from all around which are also called acupressure / acupuncture points.



    Massage every acupressure point shown in the picture with light hands for 10 minutes. Start at point # 1 and slowly move around to point # 7. You can do this three to four times a day.
    Note - Pregnant women consult a trained therapist before doing this. Do not massage if there is any scar, scar, infection or burnt area around the eyes.

    Getting up early in the morning and walking 30 minutes barefoot in the grassy grass is also part of acupuncture therapy. Because this activates the nerve fibers of the feet which improve eyesight. The second and third finger of the feet have reflexology pressure points for the eyes which increase the light of the eyes when activated. Also, walking in the green environment of grass in the morning makes the eyes feel happy.

    4. Ginkgo Biloba Herb

    Ginkgo Biloba is a tree found in China, Japan and its surroundings. It has been used extensively in food and medicine since ancient times. Ginkgo Biloba is easily available in the market in the form of capsule, powder and tea.

    Regulates the circulation of blood around the eyes. It improves eyesight as well as prevents diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration. Recent research has proved that it is also beneficial for retinopathy patients.

    Ginkgo biloba is also believed to relieve anxiety and is a memory enhancing herb. It is very beneficial for people suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

    Do 120-mg standardized ginkgo biloba capsules twice daily.

    Note - Do not give this herb to young children and people who are suffering from diabetes consult their doctor before taking it.

    5. Bilberry

    Bilberry is also a beneficial herb for eye health and vision. It also proves useful in treating night blindness as it stimulates regeneration of the visual purple component of retina.

    It also protects the eyes from serious diseases like macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataract. It contains powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties and a chemical called anthocyanoside which is beneficial in diabetes and high blood pressure related problems.

    Eat two and a half cups of cooked bilberry daily.

    You can also take bilberry supplements by consulting a doctor.

    Note - Since it can also interact with other herbs and medicines, consult a doctor before taking a dose.

    6. Almond

    Almonds contain omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E and antioxidants which are useful for increasing eye light. It also helps in increasing memory and concentration.

    Soak 5 to 10 almonds in water at night.

    In the morning, separate the peels and grind them.

    Now drink it after dissolving it in milk.

    Take it daily to keep your eyes healthy.

    7. Fennel

    Such nutrients and antioxidants are found in fennel which slows the progress of cataracts. Ancient Romans considered fennel to be a boon to the eyes.

    Grind equal quantity of fennel, almond and sugar candy.

    Drink a spoonful of it in warm milk every night before going to bed.

    Do this daily for 40 consecutive days.

    Extra attention

    Do not look at the screen of your TV or computer too closely. Also keep the brightness of their screen low, so that it does not have a bad effect on your eyes. You can also install anti-glare screen in them.

    Do not read in dim or slow light as this increases strain in the eye muscles.

    Give your eyes a little rest every 20 minutes during work.

    Use sunglasses while out in the sun.

    Always use only good quality eye cosmetics.

    Sleep well because lack of sleep increases strain on the eyes.

    Some more popular home remedies to increase eye light

    Consuming papaya daily makes the eyesight sharp.

    Make and consume Sevambrab and drink a glass of milk from above, doing this everyday will keep your eyes healthy.

    Eat fruits and green vegetables regularly.

    Excess vitamin A is found in carrots. Therefore, make it pudding, vegetable or salad and consume it regularly. You can also eat it raw.

    Eyesight is also increased by consuming powdered sugar and ghee mixed with black pepper powder.

    Massage the oil on the soles of your feet before bathing daily, it also gives a lot of benefit to the eyes.

    In the morning, walk barefoot in the dewy grass. This will make your weak eyes healthy.

    Wake up in the morning and spray cold water on the eyes.



    If you have pain in your eyes, filter out the juice of green coriander and add 2-2 drops of it to your eyes.
